I took this photo while on a business trip in Switzerland. The town of Neuchatel presented me with a lot of colorful graffiti scenes, and this one sticks out as one of my favorites. The scene just struck me as curious because of the shiny new scooter parked against a garage door ridden with graffiti.

Signed prints available for $470 USD.

  1. Interesting choice of past participle in that last adjectival clause there ;) Was that a conscious choice?

  2. Hahaha… I can’t lay claim to be that clever — it’s just what happened to come out when I wrote this up. But it is kinda funny now that you point it out.

  3. Switzerland looks like it could do with a few Banksy-types to represent some stencils instead of all those ugly tags!

  4. And here I thought places like LA, NY, and Chicago were the only cities where you saw graffiti like that. I guess vandalism has gone global. Thanks MTV for spreading the word

  5. This is a really great photo. I especially like the way the shiny scooter looks up against this garage door. It looks so sleek and almost like a really dark blue color. Looks great!

  6. Love the image. Would look great on an acrylic print or canvas print. I kind of like the scrawling as it is a more naive form of expressing emotions. As with the above post, Banksy is great but very planned and depends on the viewers emotions rather than the artists own.
