I don’t make too many B&W images, but sometimes it is obviously a good choice, for instance when there is not much color to begin with. Showing the bicycle without actually showing the rider makes the image pretty surreal, and I like it for that.
Signed prints available for $490 USD.

Wonderful lines and focus. Great capture and it looks great in B&W.
Nice Nice Nice work Andreas, I loved it! The lines are inexplicable!
wonderful picture ! i like it ! where is it ??
It’s in Vienna, Austria, 8th district, Josefstädter Straße looking east. These are the tracks of tram line 2 (at that time still called line J).
Actually, it does not matter. Any street will do, you only have to crouch low and use a long focal length. 300mm, that’s an equivalent of 450 on my D300, did it for me. From that perspective, every little bend in the street becomes a dramatic curve. The strong light of an August morning helped as well. This is f11, and due to the focal length, there is still not terribly much depth of field.
