hmm love the contrast.. the dark darks and the blurred light ..
just wondering how you achieved it – film or digital? straight pic or post-processing?? and if you used anything.. what were they, how were you able to achieve this look?
Thanks for the comment John. To answer your question, the photograph was shot on film, Tri-X 400, push processed to iso 1000, hand held using available light. The image is actually a scan of the darkroom print. The only post processing done was some local bleaching of the print to bring up the highlights.
The image was shot on Kodak Tri-X 400 film, pushed to iso 1000 using Acufine developer. I was using an old Leica screwmount rangefinder with a 35mm f/3.5 lens. I believe the exposure was f/3.5 @ 1/15 of a second if memory serves. Hope that helps…

Do I understand this right it was analog? Well nice work then! I thought it is from a digi cam and wanted to ask you if you used HDI for the details.
Reisen, you are correct, this was shot on film. No HDR here.. just a little creative darkroom printing. Thanks for the comment.
What film (grain) did you used? Shutter speed? Maybe you can post a little bit more information about this amazing Las Vegas photo?
