This photo is part of a project titled “The View From Below” hosted by Neil Creek. The point of the project is to shoot things from very low perspectives, since that’s often a perspective that’s overlooked.

These mushrooms made for an interesting “on the ground” shot. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have taken a photo of some common mushrooms in the grass — but getting down to their level changed the perspective so drastically. Then, once I processed the image as a black and white, the appeal really started to show through.
