Floating Feather . . . by Neil Creek

This photo is one of the earliest photos taken when I got my first DSLR. I went for a photo walk along a nearby creek running through a long, thin, preserved park with some of the original native bushland in the midst of suburbia. I was keeping my eyes open for a photo opportunity when I spotted the feather out of the corner of my eye. It was a very tricky angle to reach, leaning over the rocks on the creek edge, attracting strange looks from the locals walking their dogs, but after all these years, this is still one of my favourite photos.
It’s nice what little examples of beauty you can find when you keep your eyes open.

i LOVE that you can see the tree line where it meets the sky in the reflection! very cool
