Twelve Apostles at Sunset . . .     by Neil Creek

The sun sets on the iconic Australian seaside rock formations, the Twelve Apostles, casting a golden glow under a stormy sky.

Taken on a weekend trip to Port Campbell, this is the Twelve Apostles by sunset. Naomi and I set ourselves up on the lofty, windy and cold viewing platform waiting for the sun to set. Equipped with jackets, a thermos and the camera, we waited and watched dozens of tourists pass by, themselves an entertaining comedy of humanity. The weather threatened rain and weighed down the sky with leaden clouds, as the furious wind whipped everything around. For a few scant moments the sun shone through and I was able to capture a few photos.

  1. The perspective in theis photo is perfect! And the blend of colors is great, too. I’ve never been to Port Campbell before but I’d love to see it “in person” soometime. Thanks for giving us another awesome photograph.
