Sunrise Over Big Lake . . . by Dawn LeBlanc

As I was driving a kid to school early in the morning, the sun was rising but there was a thick morning mist shrouding the landscape. I met with some serious protests about stopping as “we” were late for school, but hurried back to take a shot, only moments before the fog completely burned off as the sun rose higher in the sky. Unfortunately, I was unprepared and had only my Canon A640 with me, but it managed a decent shot and I felt fortunate to come away with anything.
This scene is of the land surrounding Big Lake, a waterfowl and wetlands preserve that was recently declared a provincial park area close to where I live. It is a popular area for birders, runners, walkers and naturalists alike.

Nice shot! http://www.BJNArt.com
The shot cames really nice, even without the “proper” equipment. Lovely image!
