Perfect Day . . . by Cody Redmon

This image was taken deep in the Gravelly Mountains in southern Montana, but it might be difficult to tell by the look of things. The Gravellies are known for their high altitude meadows and soft, tired peaks. Among my favorite ranges in the state, this was the perfect photography day to compliment the landscape. The road is only open about 4 months each year because of heavy snowfall, but during that narrow window it is a magical place with an endless variety of terrain to explore.

Nice colours and composition.
This looks like it should be a Windows XP wallpaper
looks like windows xp default wallpaper!
Yes, it does look like the XP wallpaper…even down to the tip of mountains that come in on the right edge and the wedge of dark on the left. You will find, though, that the colors here are healthy and real, unlike the wallpaper, which is over-saturated by about 40-50%. And those two happy, puffy clouds up there…they make the picture for me. Thanks for commenting on your observations, I hope the similarities don’t turn folks off.
