Dawn along the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park is a beautiful thing. While the mountains rise to some 13,770ft in the distance, the turning leaves of fall make for a festival of colorful imagery. The famous Schwabacher’s Landing provides access to the many braids of the river in this region of the valley…and the opportunity for some quality photographs as well.

  1. great shot, nice color in the foreground as well

  2. Lovely fall colors with the sun enhancing the contrast

  3. Hey…I thought I left a reply for you, Scott, I apologize. Thank you for your comment, it’s interesting that you mention the foreground. Color, tonality and brightness vary so much from monitor to monitor, pc to mac, etc. I was a bit worried about the foreground displaying properly and am glad things are looking up on your end! Thanks again.

  4. Thanks, Husqvarna. Some of my favorite shots from that morning are much like this one, with shadow commanding some percentage of the foreground. Beautiful days, let me tell you!
