Iruya, Argentina A beautiful autumn dawn along the Snake River with the Grand Teton Mountains in the distance. A stormy scene is pierced by a blade of light in the Absaroka Mountains of Montana. The Salinas Grandes are an enormous salt pan in Argentina's Andean northwest, nearly as big in area as Luxembourg. The views were unbeleiveable, including this bit of water in the desert. The Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flats in the world, located in the altiplano of the Bolivian Andes. It’s an incredible landscape of white salt stretching in all directions. A photographer’s dream; quite amazing in black and white and sepia.
