The Red Bench . . . by Andreas Manessinger

On the last day of March 2007, weather in Carinthia was … sub-par. A drab sky, some drizzle all in a while, lovely. I decided to take some images of the beautiful gothic church Maria Saal. That time I took five images, no more. This one from the outside, four from the inside, all of them HDR made from seven exposures each, bracketed with 1EV distance. The separate exposures were converted to HDR and tone mapped with Photomatix Pro in a first step, and then lots of Photoshop layers were applied. Quite nice what HDR can do to a dull white sky.
The image was taken with the Sigma 10-20 at 10mm, of course from the tripod.

A beautiful image. I love the dramatic sky and rich colors.
